Embossing:
The embossing process offers the ability to add further dimension to your printed piece. It involves the raising and lowering (debossing) of the paper surface to create an image. Without the enhancement of ink or foil, the result is referred to as “blind embossing”. To form the embossed image, dies are used in combination with pressure to manipulate and mold the fibers of the paper. How these dies are made and how much they cost is affected by the complexity of the design. Single level dies are the simplest and least expensive. Truly unique designs can be accomplished with more complicated, multi-level, handmade dies that literally sculpt the design into the sheet.>>more information
