Foil Stamping:
The stamping process involves transferring a pigment coating from a carrier roll to the paper. Metal dies and a combination of heat and slight pressure are employed in the image transfer process.
In the past, and as suggested by the term “foil”, stamping pigments were only available in metallic colors. Today, there are a vast variety of colors including pastels (or tints), pearls and non-metallic pigments in gloss and matte finishes. There are also foils that emulate wood patterns, marble, rainbows, oil slicks, holographic patterns and many additional “special effects”. All of these foils can be used flat or embossed on a single level or on multiple levels.>>more information
